Cocker Spaniel Pups - these three have found new homes as of 10/16/09

Picture
These are just three of the 5 Cocker Spaniel pups that have now found new homes as of 10/16/09. On left is Boy, middle is Boy and on the right is girl. They are 4 months old 10/09/09  and owner let me find new homes for them because he no longer could afford to get their shots, etc. He has the parents and they are full-blooded, no papers.  Adoption Agreements was signed on each puppy and owners were very happy.

This is  Male 12 weeks old 07/27/09, we call him Gage.
***ADOPTED*** name now is Jake.

Picture
Gage is one of the biggest boys but he is the more calm one of them all.  He has two brothers  (one already adopted) and three sisters were put out at a store around the age of five weeks old.  The owner of the store contacted someone the puppies and they contacted Saving Paws rescue.  Love All Breeds Rescue is fostering these babies until adoption.  They have been wormed and 1st set of shots.  We do not know anything about their parents, they may possibly be Lab Mix. If interested in one of these puppies you can contact [email protected] or [email protected] (Saving Paws Rescue). The next five pictures are this ones brothers and sisters.

**Adopted** 08/10/09  *******Poppy - Chihuahua & Dachshund mix.

Picture
Poppy was rescued May 8, 2009 along with some puppies from another dog that their mom had been hit by car.  The man no longer could take care of the puppies or Poppy.  Her name was not Poppy but she got this name because she looked like a dog on the movie Hotel for Pets.  She is possibly a Chihuahua Dachshund mix approximately 9 months to 1 year of age.  She is as big as she will get and she is small, maybe 15 pounds.  She is very shy at first and scared but she has come a long way since she first came here.  She is up to date on shots, has not been spayed as far as I know.   However,  she does great with other dogs and good with people just takes a little time and adjustment.  She needs someone to give her lots of love and attention she never had and she will be a great dog for a single person or family.  Please help to find Poppy a home!

Jasmine

Picture
Jasmine came here October 2008, we did find previous owner and they did not want her.  She had been chained to a trailer and scared of a collar or leash.  She went to a wonderful home near Bessemer and now lives inside with two wonderful people. They had lost the lab of 12 years a couple of months prior to my contact with them concerning Jasmine.  She loves their grandchildren, her new family and she gets to walk at the lake and watch the ducks.  She has got it made!

Tilly Willie (Wewe)

Picture
This is Tilly Willie, also known as Wewe.  She was found in February 2008 in the middle of the road in some brush. She was approximately 6-10 weeks old. She did not look like this then especially the ears.  She did not go to another home, we kept her and we love her very much.  She is a Portuguese Pondengo per the Canadian Portuguese Pondengo Club .

Hennassey (Hennypoo)

Picture
This big boy is Hennassey.  We rescued him when he was approximately 7 months old.  His previous owners took him to the Vet at age 8 weeks because they thought he had parvo and never came back .   When we got him he had problems with his legs from being in a kennel on concrete and not getting enough exercise.  He is now four years old and he is my baby!   He is a good dog, very strong willed and yes he is overweight. He needs more exercise and will be getting it on his treadmill.  He is a bed potato not a couch potato.

 Katie (Katie Bug)

Picture
Katie is a Purebred AKC Boxer.  My daughter got her when she was 9 months old.  Her previous owners called my daughter knowing she has Boxers and asked her if she wanter her.  They no longer could take care of  her.  Of course she took her.  When she cam here we really had no intentions of  keeping her, we were just going to find the right home.  However,  she was so afraid, timid and seemed not to know how to let us pet her and she seemed like she did not know how to play.  We had to work with her to respond.  She did not come to her when called, which Katie was not her name at the time.  We started saying different names and she responded to Katie and now we call her Katie Bug but sometimes she responds to being called Bug.  After approximately three weeks of her being here in our dog zoo, she came out of her shell.  Believe me she is not the same dog that came here.  Plus,  she will not be leaving here, she is at her forever home right here with us.  She has gone through so much change and adjustment that we will not put her through more.

Bob the Bouncer

Picture
Bob is a bob-tailed chocolate lab.  He came to our house in November 2008 or actually roaming the neighborhood for approximately 6 weeks before I got a good look at him.  He would come at night and eat the others dog food. Finally one day he came to us and ate and stayed here on the front portch. He was a very protective dog and loved us once he finally came to us.  He went to his forever home with a man a few miles from us and his other lab in February 2009.  His new owner loves him and the other lab is getting along pretty good so far with Bob, but Bob is doing great!

We have rescued many more but did not put the others on the site. I may add more at another time.  These were and are wonderful dogs. These have good homes, there are so many dogs on the streets, in shelters and rescues that need good homes.  Please always consider a rescue dog, they are not all mixed breeds some at the shelters and rescues are purebreds.
